Our Lady of Snows Shrine, Kallikulam is one of the prominent Marian shrine in India. Here Our Lady of Snows is popularly known as “Panimatha”. In Tamil “Pani” means “Snow” and “Matha” means mother.

A strong oral tradition attests to Our Lady’s apparition at Kallikulam. People beleive that on 23rd March 1939, evening around 6.30 pm, Mary appeared on a hill near to the church at Kallikulam.

Every year hundreds of miraculous cures are reported here. Our Lady of Snows devotions down through the centuries have proved the place to be of divine origin.
